1. The first step of maintenance is "cleaning", and cleaning is the key (try to clean once a day)
What do I have to pay attention to when using a sewing machine? That is "cleaning." If daily maintenance of the sewing machine can be done, dust and thread ends can be prevented from accumulating, and malfunctions will not occur, and the machine can be used in a good condition.
Also, while cleaning the machine, some abnormalities can also be found. In repairing machine malfunctions, most of the reasons are caused by the accumulation of dust or thread ends.
Not only must the sewing machine be cleanly cleaned, but also abnormalities can be found. For cleaning, maintenance is essential.
Of course, it is not necessary to make the surface of the needle bar and the upper looper shaft without any oil at all. As long as the dust is removed, light wiping is sufficient. For places with complex shapes, use a used toothbrush for cleaning, which can easily remove dust. In addition, some sharp parts on the sewing machine should be very careful not to get injured during the cleaning process.
Key areas for cleaning
For the sewing machine, not only do not make it malfunction, but also to ensure the quality of sewing, there are 5 most important points. If you can clean these areas thoroughly and cleanly, you can sew beautiful stitches. These areas should be cleaned in order, and it is recommended to clean them once a week.
① Around the needle
② Around the hook/around the looper
③ Around the thread cutting knife (cloth cutting knife)
④In the oil pan (Photo 6 cleaning)
⑤Wipe and clean the whole (including the machine)
※Different models, different shapes, and important cleaning areas are the same.
2. The second step of maintenance is "lubrication", lubrication is the guarantee (try to lubricate once a day)
The choice of oil:
When performing maintenance on the sewing machine, please use the purest oil that is most suitable for the sewing machine.

Lubricating oil volume adjustment for key parts
a. The method of adjusting the oil supply of the sewing machine rotary hook (be sure to turn off the power)
Use this oil adjustment screw to adjust the confirmed oil amount as follows.
1. Raise the presser foot and let the rotary hook idling for more than 30 seconds.
2. Put test paper such as copy paper under the rotating hook every 5 seconds. Please do not allow the paper to move during the measurement. In addition, be careful not to touch the high-speed rotary hook with your fingers, etc.
3. At this time, there will be a line of oil stains on the paper. According to the width of the oil trace, it can be judged whether the oil quantity is appropriate.
It is normal for the width of the oil trace to be within 1 mm to 2 mm. Depending on the sewing product, the amount of oil may increase or decrease, but if it decreases too much, the hook will scorch when the machine is running at high speed. Please be aware of this.
b. Regarding the lower shaft fixing screw oil wick
When the adjustment screw fails to adjust the amount of oil, it is possible that rubbish etc. have blocked the oil core of the lower shaft fixing screw. At this time, remove the hook, clean the oil wick or replace it with a new one. In addition, since the material of the lower shaft fixing screw is relatively soft, please pay attention when installing it.
c. Adjustment of head oil
The amount of oil on the face generally does not need to be adjusted. However, in the case of low oil supply to the machine head or more serious oil precipitation, please make adjustments in the following order. Remove the panel and rotate the oil volume adjustment pin located on the upper shaft to adjust the oil volume. This part is not a screw, but a pin, which can be rotated. When the oil does not come out after adjusting the face, there may be a problem with the oil supply device from the oil pump to the face. In addition, if too much oil deposits on the bottom surface of the face, there may be a problem with the circulation mechanism from the face to the circulation pump.
